NaNoWriMo

November is National Novel Writing Month and Miss Beethoven is going to write a novel! It will be interesting to see what she comes up with. http://ywp.nanowrimo.org/ is the website for the youth program. Even if your child isn't interested in participating in the program, there are a couple of workbooks available (free!) that could be very helpful in teaching your child(ren) about story writing. There are some educator resources available too, but I haven't looked at them yet.

    Oooh are you going to 'publish' her manuscript?

    Those workbooks look wonderful - that may just be our new writing curriculum for the year. ;-D

    Thanks for explaining this. I'd seen "NaNoWriMo" mentioned in places, and had no idea what it was!
